I’m also on a Yahoo group that has been making hearts to swap. What we do is, each month everyone makes one heart and then there is a name drawn to see who gets them that month. Of course then that name is taken out of the drawing and she draws the next winner. This month Rose Anne won the hearts so she will pick next months winner. Pretty cool huh? We’re going to do a second round of it, so we’ll all have enough to make a wall hanging or something we’d like to do with them.
Ok, it’s back to work, so I’ve written myself a note to take pictures when I get home.
Have a great day and a great week end!
I belong to a UFO group and once a month we take one full day to sew. It’s a Friday one month and Saturday the next. We start sewing at 9 (or is it 10) in the morning and sew till 6pm. We take a picture of what we’re working on and post it. We check in periodically ro show where we are at. Friday I worked on a fall quilt attempting to get all the blocks done. I got them 2/3’s of the way done so will try to work on them a little more today.
Well, we had our online UFO group Saturday and I was able to get enough blocks sewn together for two and a half quilts. One and a half red & White and one Blue & White. All are AmHero quilts and the center block is white P&B fabric to have people sign them. They’re (obviously) signature quilts:) I’d hoped to get more done, but I goofed up on the first one I was working on and had some frogging to do. I only posted one picture ’cause Blogger won’t let me post the second:) Hope everyone is getting ready for fall. It’s about 85 here in CA today down from 100 yesterday! and the days before that. This week is going to be cool and then it’s supposed to stay in the mid to low 80’s. I sure hope so. We’ve got a good chance of another triple digit day or two before fall actually really hits us:)
Have you ever had something you HAD to do but just couldn’t get yourself into the mood to do it now matter how hard you try??? That’s what this one is for me. It took forever to find the right horse fabric to start, then it took another forever to find fabric’s that would even come close to matching the colors of the horses. The yellow looking strips I’m not happy with but they’ll work in the long run. So now I need to get back to it and quit complaining! lol
I’ve started a new quilt with some fabric that I thought I was going to get rid of. The floral I’ve had for a long time and love it, but the purple (with black) I always disliked and was about to give it away. Then the other day I pulled them out and found they went quite well together and wanted to try this pattern so it worked out nicely. You just never know! lol
